Congratulations to Micah & Katie Smith!
Teri’s brother Micah and his wife Katie just had their baby late on Wednesday night, and I wanted to send a word of congratulations to them. I will post a picture and more details when I have them.
Please Pray for my Brother Harley
My older brother Harley, his wife Heidi, and their two children will be moving to Wooster, OH soon to start a church. I want to ask you to please pray for them. Harley has been a great example and spiritual influence on my life. I look up to him and appreciate his friendship.
You can check out their website by going here. Please keep them in your prayers as they embark on this new step of faith and vision. I know God is going to do great things through their ministry. I am excited about helping them in any way I can.
Nice Conversation
Teri and I had a very nice visit this afternoon from a Baptist pastor from Poyntzpass, Northern Ireland. He and his wife are from Northern Ireland. They are full of experience and were a big encouragement to us. I learned some valuable things from them about the culture here.
We plan to go down to their church this coming Monday for a week of Bible Ministry as they call it here. I found out from them that a mission is an evangelistic meeting that usually lasts at least 1 week and in the past has lasted up to 12 weeks long, while Bible Ministry or Bible Teaching is primarily for the Christians to build up the church.
It was such a blessing and we look forward to developing a friendship with them and seeing them next week.
Family Photo
The kids aren’t looking the happiest but this is the best one of the group we took.

Pray for Ruth Kidder’s Family
My mother’s grandmother, Ruth Kidder, passed away this past Saturday night at about midnight. She was 98 years old and blessed with a very healthy life. Please pray for all of her family that God will comfort them and work in their hearts at this time. We all loved Grandma Kidder alot. She was a very special lady. Thank you for your concern.
Deputation Manual
I am so happy to hear that the Deputation Manual by my friends Pastor Austin Gardner and Bro. Tony Howeth is coming from printers. If you want to order a copy, go here. I was glad to be able to read and help edit some of the text prior to printing, and so many of the principles of deputation taught in the book I learned while I was in Peru. They were a major help to Teri and I as we raised support to go to the mission field. We were able to raise our support in about 22 months with God’s help and by following the principles in the manual.
Grant Came Home
Grant was able to come home last night from the hospital. He was doing very well today, so we praise the Lord for helping him. Thank you for praying.
Please pray for us as we have our Wedding Vow Renewal service tomorrow, and then tomorrow night is our last service at our current hotel. We will begin meeting at another hotel not far away that has nicer facitilites and will cost us about $1000/month less.
Update on Grant
Thank you for praying for Grant. The Lord helped his oxygen levels to stay up last night so he got a real good nights rest and is doing well at the hospital today. Apparently with the Lord’s help, the antibiotics are starting to kick in to fight his infection. If he is able to stay off of the oxygen until this evening, they will let him come home tonight. Please pray to that end and for God’s will to be done.
Please Pray for Grant
I want to ask you to be in prayer for Grant. We had to take him into the hospital last night because he was coughing alot, struggling to catch his breath, and wheezing. This is the same thing he had about 8 weeks. The doctor’s say it is a viral infection that has gotten into his lungs. He is on antibiotics and oxygen, but he is inproving and should be able to go home in a couple of days. Thank you for praying for him.
My Wonderful Family
I had one of the most wonderful days today because I spent it with the most wonderful people – my family.
I praise God for my beautiful, faithful wife, Teri, who is always so supportive and loving to me and who takes such wonderful care of our children.
Darci is 7.5 months now. She is crawling and getting into everything. She is wanting to pull herself up. We are so proud of her.
Grant will 3 in April. (Hard to believe, I know!) We are considering enrolling him in a preschool here this fall. He just got a trampoline today, so he is all excited about that.
Thanks for keeping us in your prayers. God bless.
